Truth

so we just talked about "What is truth?" I wanted to hear your responses on this subject. Either do you believe there is or is not absolute truth, you have a story about discussing this subject with a friend, anything, just want to hear your thoughts.

Truth...
Probably the most dreaded word to every ear.
Although I was not present at this sermon, I am fully aware of the definition and reality of truth. Truth is knowing right from wrong. Truth is repentance.
Truth is a virtue.
It isn't a matter of knowing you should be truthful; it's the matter of being truthful without an apprehensive thought.

Truth is the Word of God... whether we like it or not, whether we believe it or not, and whether we're living it out or not. It's not based on feelings or opinions. It's based upon the undeniable principles and laws that God has established.

For instance, when God's Word says to "respect thy father and mother," it's a principle we have to live by whether we feel like it or not. I know I don't always feel like doing that, but I know that I have to still abide by that truth.

Truth also stands for the promises of God. When God's Word says, "by grace you have been saved," it means that we have a treasure of blessing given to us freely by God. Truth assures us that salvation is by the goodness and love of God.

That's the Truth.
